God (YHWH Yehovah/Allaha) is One, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit are components within Him. Jesus Christ is all the words of the Bible (the only correct translation in English is KJV version). Get nearer to God by memorizing the entire Bible in your language, starting with new testament, and pray everyday. Read the works of Luther, Augustine, Manton

Pray daily that God crucifies your flesh and makes the Holy Spirit stronger than your flesh. And with memorizing the Bible, and prayer, become more and more like Christ in your inner person.

John 8:32 Another most misused Bible “verse” by American Christians

leave a comment »

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Yohanan (John) 8:32

This is one of the most misused Bible ‘verse’, likely the most misused.

As previously explained (in the previous post),  the Word of God is written like any other writings of good quality:  in paragraph.
And the Word God was not segmented into chapter numbers, especially not into “verses”.   Christ didn’t do it,  His disciples didn’t do it.    It wasn’t done till 1600s, and it was arbitrarily done by some monk.   It really obliterated the original paragraphs.    For most of the chapter numbers do not begin at the beginning of a paragraph, but usually in the middle of it,  so it dispersed the ideas that were meant to be read in one paragraph.

Much worse is the dividing into verses,  because (probably after 1900?) Bibles later were printed with each verse as a separate piece,  so the Bible would look like a series of many spaghetti.

This further fragments the original organizing of ideas, because many people think that each verse is a standalone  new-paragraph, and often they take only that little bit, and do not realize that it’s not meant to be taken by itself except as part of a whole paragraph  (and the paragraph is part of an entire manuscript).

So, example: one of the worst mistakes when that is done

John 8:32   is often taken as a “verse”,  even though the LORD never spoke it as a verse.
And John 8:32 is misapplied by people who decided that they can define “truth” to be anything,  even any type of knowledge  (unrelated to Christ), and that if you know that,  then you’ll be set free.

It’s so ridiculous, that this verse is even printed on the floor of the CIA’s office in Langley, Virginia.    The CIA is a Satanical organization, whose most basic action is to lie,  and also to commit all types of treachery and violence and evil in order to gain prestige  for its masters,  and sabotage any competitors-in-prestige  (like other governments).
So it’s most ridiculous (and lying, and treacherous) that they would have a Bible verse about “truth” printed in their building.
This is very much known.

But what did Christ say?

Then said Yeshua (Jesus) to those Jews (Judaism people) who believed on him:
“If you continue in my Word, then are you my disciples indeed.  [as consequence of that,] you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32

The first requirement of knowing the truth, is to continue (to remain) in the Word of Christ.   And to continue is not only to know the vocabulary, but continue to follow the instructions in the Word about godliness.

Surely, that has nothing to do with the CIA (or any spies), whose basic action is lying, whose main purpose in life is vanity and oppression.
Nor does the CIA have any knowledge that makes anyone free, seeing that they all put themselves in bondage to evildoing.

While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption…
II Peter 2:19

And it has nothing to do with nearly everybody who quote John 8:32 as a ‘verse’,  they all use it to refer to knowing some other thing than Christ.
There is a high school that has “then you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” printed on it.    It’s wrong, because the Word of God is not meant to be taken as little pieces out of context.

The whole thing is:    …Jesus said to [people who believe Jesus]:” if  you continue in my Word, then you are my disciples indeed, then you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

It’s wrong to quote only a piece of it, it mis-instructs people.
That speech of Christ was about salvation through Christ, not the gaining of any knowledge that people call “truth”.

So you have to memorize the Word of God  (starting with New Testament) and continually follow the instructions,  then as a result of that, you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.
