One of the most misused bible verse by American Christians
Through the LORD, I would like to first say, that the Bible was written like any other writings: in paragraphs, and usually long paragraphs.
When the Bible was written (and all of it by the Spirit of God, through the hands of different godly people), none of it was tagged with chapter numbers, nor was it sectioned into parts like spaghetti.
During the entire era of Old Covenant, from around 3000 BC until 33 AD, the Bible (the parts of it that goes from Genesis to Malachi) was only read in paragraphs.
There were no chapter numbers, there were no little parts tagged with little numbers.
And whoever spoke about the Bible (like Yeshua the Christ, or the 12 Apostles), they had to memorize it all, because there was no way of referring only to a passage. So you had to memorize it all, and know it all, so that when someone mentions a part, you know exactly what they are speaking about.
This is why Paul the Apostle wrote to Timo-theo (“Honoring-God”, that’s the man’s name):
… since a child thou has known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Yeshua.
II Timothy 3:15
Notice Paul wrote “has known”, when in English there is “has” (or “have”) + a verb in the past tense, it means “been doing that in the past, and still doing the same until now”.
Thus, “has known” means “knew in the past, and still know it from that time until now”.
So Timotheo knew the holy Scriptures in the past and has known it ever since then, until now.
Paul didn’t write “has read”, which would imply that Timotheo has been reading the Bible since a child … which is what nearly all Christians nowadays do and even consider that to be high endeavor.
Paul wrote “has known”, this necessarily implies that Timotheo has memorized the Scriptures since a child.
So, from about 3000 BC until 33 AD, there was no added-numbers into the Scriptures.
Early Church (33 AD – 311 AD): while the 12 Apostles were alive on earth, from 33 AD till 100 AD, and then till 311 AD, the Bible was still only in paragraphs, with no numbers.
From 311 AD all the way until 1600s, it was the same.
Somewhere in the 1600s, a monk divided the Bible into chapter numbers and verse numbers.
For instance, it’s really obvious that Colossians 4:1 is one-paragraph with all that is before it.
Worse is that some Bible printings (starting after movie-invention in 1900, especially after 1950, with popularization of TV, which is really disappearance of Christ-faith) started printing in separate verses only, making the Bible like so many spaghettis, each little part divided from the other parts.
And all Bible “translations” that do not arrange in paragraphs, they are infidel and deliberately obliterate the Word of God (whether the publishers knew it or not, Satan was working through them).
Thanks unto God, the Chinese Bibles all arranged in paragraphs (和合本)
(but I very much think something evil is with the recent “New Edition” in Chinese. They even invited an American to write the introduction, what “new” thing can be good, by Christianity from America, when their entire country is publicly doing evil? While unrepentant, their very inner-content is evil, so certainly the “New Edition” is perverted.)
In the English-language Bibles, only king james version is acceptable.
- NASB remembers the paragraphs, but it’s Satanized with many changes.
- RSV remembers the paragraphs, but it is a Catholic bible that denies the LORD (and whoever uses a wrong Bible are far more likely to not know God, because you have to know God correctly to go to heaven).
- NIV is the most Satanized Bible in English (printed recently)
- “The Message” is the other most Satanized Bible in English. (printed recently)
- And all the other English translations omit the paragraphs.
Paul asked Timotheo (essentially, Holy Spirit asked all dedicated Christians):
Study to demonstrate yourself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.
II Timothy 2:15
This necessarily requires knowing the Word of God in paragraphs, rather than in separate spaghettis: so many arbitrarily-created “new paragraph”, each of a few words.
This is because the Holy Spirit when writing something, also organizes ideas according to paragraphs.
Also, do notice that:
As they were eating, Yeshua took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to His disciples, and said: “Take, eat; this is my body”.
Yeshua (Jesus) he divided bread into large pieces, and handed that to the disciples.
He did not grind it to powder, and then hand it to them.
We know that Yeshua is the Word.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Yohanan (John) 1:1
Therefore, to know Yeshua is to memorize the entire Bible.
And when Yeshua gave Himself to be eaten (or, absorbed) by His disciples, it’s meant for them to absorb the entire Bible into them.
Thus, all the intended holiness and godly knowledge in the Bible, that is Yeshua’s body that we are to absorb into our person.
And, Yeshua (Jesus) handed his body in pieces (paragraphs, even long paragraphs as written in the manuscripts) but he did not hand it as powder (a myriad of “mini-paragraphs” that are only a few words each).
Thus, it is also meant for us, if we are to receive the Word of God as it was meant to be received, to read the Bible in paragraphs, and not divide it into a myriad of spaghetti, and take each as a new-and-separate paragraph, as has been done by … tradition since 1600s, but this is bad tradition.
The consequence of this, is that people think the Bible was God-given as “verses” (that is, God-segmented into a million mini-paragraphs), and people often take a “verse” and read it as all-sufficient.
The Bible was not given in “verses”.
It was only given in paragraphs.
So that the Christians of the Early Church, from 33 AD until 311 AD, they read the Bible only in paragraphs, every part connected with the ones before it and the ones after it. This is how coherent ideas are expressed, in paragraphs, and this is how the Holy Spirit writes the ideas from God.
This is why the faith of the ancient Christians were so much the better, because they took the Word of God as given, in coherent paragraphs. They did not invent new paragraphs.
But the very-perverted religion in America (often “Christian” only by labeling but not in content) , it takes the Word of God and invents new meanings or new assumptions with it, because it thinks each “verse” is by itself.
So here is one of the most misused Bible “verses” by American Christians (there is another one, which I will mention in the next post):
… “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”…
This is mistakenly used by many Americans as an assurance that they have unconditional goodness from God regardless of how they live.
That is not true.
Christians should read the entire book of Jeremiah to realize it’s a book of judgment against all the people of God – applied to now, all the Christians. And most did not survive God’s judgment.
Jeremiah 29:11 was spoken unto the few who did survive God’s judgment.
The entire theme of the book of Jeremiah can be summarize with this:
O house of David (that is, all the Christians), thus says the LORD: “Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver the [oppressed] out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
“Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain,” says the LORD [unto] you who say “Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitation?” But [God] will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, says the LORD, and [God] will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things roundabout it.
and Jeremiah 22:1-9
Thus says the LORD: go down to the house of the king of Judah (that is, all the Christians), and speak there this word and say: “Hear the Word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits upon the throne of David, thou and thy servants and thy people that enter in by these gates”,
Thus says the LORD: “Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the [abused] out of the hand of the oppressor, and do no wrong, do no violence, to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. For if you do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself, says the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation. For thus says the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah (that is, all of the Church), Thou are Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon, yet surely I will make thee a wilderness and cities which are not inhabited. And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons, and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire, and many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbor, Wherefore has the LORD done thus to this great city? Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.
So stop serving images, and stop trying to use images as a way unto God, and stop pretending that all this image-display about me is nothing less than Satanic-evildoing.
